Office and Operations Manager

Danny is your first point of contact in the office and will handle all of your enquiries and orders. Whether you're looking for product details, quotes, or assistance with your order.. If he's not at his desk, you’ll likely find him out and about in the yard, overseeing operations and ensuring everything is in order.

Timber shop, online sales and Marketing Manager

Ros manages our Timber-shop and online store, providing assistance to customers both in-store and online. In addition to handling day-to-day shop operations and customer interactions, Ros oversees our online sales, processes orders, and manages our social media - this is who chats to you online.

Yard's man and delivery driver

Gary can be found in our workshop, handling equipment maintenance to keep everything in top condition. He also lends a hand with processing orders on the yard. In addition to his workshop and yard work, Gary is our key delivery driver, ensuring that orders reach our customers safely and on time.

Founder and director

Jim established Scottish Wood over 20 years ago and has since dedicated his time, experience and knowledge to it. He is often on the yard helping with orders, dealing with enquiries or out on his quest to source logs sustainably from across Scotland, while building his team to deliver you the best quality timber and service.

HR and Accounts Manager

Jo plays a vital role in connecting Scottish Wood, ASHS, and Dynamic Woods, helping everything run smoothly across the organisations. As an HR and Accounts manager at Scottish Wood and a Development Consultant for ASHS and Dynamic Woods, Jo supports growth, efficiency, and smooth operations.

Machinist

Michael processes and machines customer orders to ensure the highest quality. He is also responsible for bringing our fantastic stock to the Timber-shop, carefully selecting, planing, and cutting the timber to perfection so that it's ready and available for you to purchase.

Sawyer

Eddie is responsible for milling our logs for both stock and customer orders. With great skill and attention to detail, he operates our LT40 Wide Woodmizer sawmill, ensuring each log is processed to the highest standards. Eddie plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of timber through our operation.

Machinist

Hamish works our Sawmill yard, where he’s responsible for processing orders and ensuring they meet your specifications. Whether it's planing timber to thickness, profiling, edging, or cross-cutting. In addition to these tasks, he also oversees the operation of our Firewood processor, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.

Sawyer

Ross works on our Woodmizer production line, where he plays a key role in cutting timber for both stock and customer orders, ensuring that every piece meets our high-quality standards you expect.

Yard's man and splitter

John is our go-to handyman, always ready to lend a hand wherever it's needed across the yard. Whether it's maintenance, organising, or tackling tasks big and small, he also takes charge of splitting and bagging our firewood, making sure it's ready for customers to enjoy.
