Located in Inzievar Woods, just outside Dunfermline, our Timber-shop is more than just a place to buy timber – it's a vital part of Scotland’s sustainable timber story - a well-equipped resource for woodworkers, makers, and tradespeople, offering a wide selection of quality Scottish hardwoods and softwoods, all locally sourced and ready for use in projects ranging from fine furniture to structural builds. What You'll Find in Our Timber-Shop
Our Timber-shop is fully stocked with a wide range of Scottish-grown hardwoods and softwoods, all responsibly sourced and processed onsite by our sawmill. Our most popular timbers include:
Scottish Oak – A classic favourite for fine furniture, flooring, and structural projects.
Ash – Ideal for tool handles, sports equipment, and striking furniture designs.
Elm – Known for its beautiful grain, perfect for tabletops and feature pieces.
Sycamore – Pale, smooth, and highly workable; great for kitchenware and musical instruments.
Douglas Fir & Larch – Durable softwoods suited for outdoor and construction use.
We boast a large selection of boards, offcuts, straight, live and waney-edged boards, slabs, beams, and more – ideal for creative projects and renovations.
Our planed stock is available in a variety of sizes and dimensions, with a typical thickness range from 1” (20mm dressed finish) up to 2” (40mm dressed finish). Thicker dimensioned stock and beams available onsite also. For those needing thicker or pre-planed we have our rough sawn stores and cut-to-order options available.

Our Timber-Shop is open Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and the 1st Saturday of the month 9am to 2pm, and we welcome visitors from across Scotland and beyond. You're welcome to browse our Timber-shop, Larch sheds and rough sawn stores and self select pieces. We also have a hand-picked selection available online - delivered direct for small orders (contact us for larger or visit).
